Wasn't her project AMAZING???

For my card today I used another new Digital Image
 from CDS called Vegetable Garden.
I think of summer time as a time to get my garden growing!
How I love fresh from the garden cucumbers!

I used the cucumber image and
the words from our garden on my card.

I distressed the paper with Antique linen and
tea dye Distress Inks before coloring with
colored pencils blended with mineral spirits.
After I finished coloring I again rubbed
some more distress ink over the image.
The background paper is from Bo Bunny.

CIC 32 - Color Challenge!

Hello Friends!
Welcome to Clear Dollar Stamps -
Clearly I Stamp Challenge #32.
This time it is a color challenge!
 Always fun to do!
 Today's colors are:
Mud Pie, Lime, Gold and Turquoise.

For my card I used a new digital image
available from CDS called Big Bear Hugs.

I watercolored the image.
The papers I used are mainly Bazzil and
 unknown paper from my stash.
A little doodling around the edges
with a fine point black pen.

For the inside of the card I used
the words from the same set.
You can see the colors a little
more clearly on the inside.

I hope you will join in the challenge this time!
We love seeing your work!
Thanks for stopping!
See you soon!

Digital Release day for Clear Dollar Stamps!

Hello and welcome to the
July 2011 Digital Release for

I was lucky enough to get to use
this adorable image called Jargon Mix.
I chose to use the jar of daisies.
 Love this image!

I printed the image onto watercolor paper,
then I distressed it. I kept it heavy around the
edges so it highlights the jar of flowers.

I used my Nestabilites Labels Fifteen to cut the image out.
I used my watercolor Inktense pencils to color the image.
I then added some Diamond Glaze to
the jar so it looks like
it has water in it.
Background paper is from Bo Bunny.

Inside of the card I used words from the same set.
The Distress inks I used are; Antique Linen,
Firebrick Red and Vintage Photo.
I just used a fine point black pen to
make the doodles around the edges.

I finished the bow off with a stick pin
I have had in my collection for a while.

Really like the twill ribbon - has a
nice 'country' feel to it!
Thanks for visiting today!

I hope you will head on over to
Clearly I Stamp to see the rest
of the Digital release for this month!

See you next time!

Special Request

Today's card is one I made
 for a friend's special request.
She needed a wedding card in green with a little pink
and a pocket inside for a gift card.
Well, I love a challenge, so I got my
creative groove on and here is what I came up with.

I started with a base card cut from
my Sixxiz XL die that makes a card with a flap.
Love it when I get to use this die - it's one of my favorites!

I stamped the image (Savvy Stamps)
 in Slate Gray Versafine ink
then I colored over the lines with
a glitter pen to soften it up.

Here is the inside of the card:

I made the pocket by using
Nestablities Labels Fifteen in two different sizes.
I folded the largest label up to make the
pocket and used the next size down to add a touch of pink.
The words are from Hero Arts.
I added three pearls to complete the look!

I watercolored this image using Derwent Inktense colored pencils.

I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder to
 make the background paper.

Clearly Inspired Challenge #31 Die Cuts

Hello Friends and welcome to the
July Clearly Inspired Challenge!
Todays challenge was to use a
die cut on your card.
Well, I was all over that!
 I can't remember a card I have made
lately that I didn't use a die cut on!
They are my favorite accessory!

For my card I used a cute digital image from
Clear Dollar Stamps called GiGi Giraffe.

The background paper is from BoBunny.
I decided to make a baby boy card in
honor of my soon to be grandson!
The die cuts I used on my card are
lacey & plain ovals from Nestabilities and
Tabs and Tags set from Clear Dollar Stamps!

After printing the image onto watercolor paper
I painted it to match the background paper and ribbon.
I have had these fancy stick pins in my stash forever so I thought
I would add one just for fun.

I hope you will join in the fun at Clear Dollar Stamps
and take the die cut challenge!

We love to see your work!

Thanks for stopping!
See you next time!
